Long Sleeve Dress

Long Sleeve Dress
The long sleeve dress shirt has long been a staple in the dress code for men for decades. If you look at pictures of men at work in the 30's, 40's etc you will see that almost every one of them has one a long sleeved dress shirt that normally is a button down and in many cases have the sleeves rolled up as they are hard at work. Not much has changed in the last hindered or so years. It is still a popular shirt to wear at work it's just missing its cousin the tie more times than not.

There are many different designs for the long sleeve dress shirt and no matter who you are you are sure to find one that works right just for you. Some of them have pockets, some of them are tailored and some of them require cuff links. No matter which kind you pick you must make sure it goes along with the dress code of the business that you are about to wear it to. You should always make sure your shirt is pressed, if not it loses a lot of its appeal.

Of course with fashion being fashion there are many different types of long sleeve dress shirt that you can now purchase. The variety really comes in the colors and patterns that you can pick out. The shirt has really grown in terms of color variations. In the old days you were going to wear either white or blue. Although both colors are popular still there is still many many more that you can pick from to match the suit or pants that you wish to color coordinate with. In addition there are many shirts that have patterns such as pinstripes of all thicknesses and colors.

The long sleeve dress shirt is very much the unspoken uniform for those in white color, higher level positions. Whereas many employees now wear polo shirts in this business casual environment, those in authority feel the need to continue to wear the more conservative shirt style. This trend is not necessarily bad but it does tend to cause separation between the employee and the employer. In the old days the bosses were called "the suits", dress shirts can still cause that invisible line. You will want to make sure that what you select is not so different from everyone else that you stand out but unique enough that you have a bit of your own identity.

The one good thing about the long sleeve dress shirt is that because it is so expected at white collar jobs it is also very easy to find when you need to go out and buy some. There are good men's clothing stores all over where you can buy a long sleeve dress shirt. You can always go online to look for what you want as well. You might find that you pay less if you go online and surf around a bit. Online is like a virtual flea market with hundreds vying for your business which is why you might find what you want at a lower price.
